Halloween- Round 1

The church Harvest Festival was last night. It was our first time "trunk"-or-treating, which was really fun. Best of all, Luke actually donned a costume this year! Worst of all, Lance's dinner consisted of 2 potato chips, a cookie, and a Tootsie Roll. Happy Halloween!

Plumbing-- a New Passion

Things that broke this week: Garage door, ceiling fan, and kitchen faucet. According to Matt, this week "bites." Luke, on the other hand, could not be more thrilled. Always the eager assistant, he installed the kitchen sprayer all by himself. In the style of his favorite Home Depot 1-2-3 DVD, here's how it went:

Step 1
: Get out your tools

Step 2: Shove the sprayer through the hole
Step 3: Pull it through from underneath

Step 4: Give it a test

Step 5: Done!

He Rides!

Luke is officially riding his bike now! Uphill, downhill, starting and stopping. He says it "feels good" to ride his bike. He wears a proud smile the whole time!

He Rides Too!

Lance rides AND says, "HONK, HONK" while squeezing his broken horn. Try that, Armstrong!

Off to the Theater

While Lance and I nap, Matt and Luke are seeing this:

Luke turned down a Kit Kat and a Peanut Butter Cup in favor of an Almond Joy for his treat. I hope he's not disappointed.

The Perfect Fall Weekend

Nothing says fall like swimming laps in a corn pool.

Wow- what a weekend! We had Nanna and Papa as visitors, went to the pumpkin patch, ate chili, and cheered from afar as Matt raced up Mt. Diablo (see entry below for more details on that!).

Mt. Diablo Results

HEY HEY, HO HO!
Matt kicked some tail on his vintage steel bike! I posted a link to the results on the sidebar. He finished in 110th place out of 897 riders!
