Boys Day Out/The Wind in Their Hair

To get to this:

You gotta go through this:
(total cargo weight: 62 pounds + trailer = good training for Matt's Mt. Diablo Challenge in October)

Sleeping with a Trolley "Bus"

This is how a very eventful day at the beach ended:
Today it was 105 in Fairfield, so we decided to head to San Francisco for the day. Good decision-- it was a perfect 76 degrees there. We spent the day barking at seals (wow--Lance can do an awesome seal call, and can almost perfectly mimic E.T. I might add), watching the boats go by, then playing in the water and sand at Crissy Field. Five years here and we finally got our perfect beach day! Now it's on to baths, to get the sand out of all the places it should not be.

Crockin'

My kids are asleep right now and I've been enjoying the break. I watched some Office, surfed the internet for awhile, and indulged in a little bit of cookie dough. The house is filled with the aroma of chicken and garlic and a bunch of other spices (Katie's Crock Pot chicken taco meat recipe from the family reunion cookbook). Yum. Matt will be happy when he walks in the door tonight and is greeted by this smell.

I haven't been cooking much lately. My grandma is always so concerned about "Matt's supper." If we are talking on the phone in the afternoon, she wants to make sure that our conversation is not at the expense of his supper. Today he shall have a delicious supper.

*non-related thought...every time we go to the gym, Luke asks me, "Which one are you going to ride today, mom?" Today I rode the treadmill. Cookie dough justified.

Check Me Out

This is Lance telling the world that he is TWO:

Birthday Highlights

Lance recommends picking up a Ninja Wheelie Bike if you don't already have one. They are AWESOME!

Also, he blew out his candles by himself.

When he woke up today, he strutted out to the kitchen saying, "birthday...presents..." You know, because birthdays are so great he thinks he should have one everyday.
