Last Days on Malibu Ct.

These are the last pictures I took at Malibu Ct.: Luke and Glen installing a new toilet and Lance enjoying the backyard. Seeing the house empty was really sad, but seeing the backyard empty really brought the tears! We had LOTS of good times back there.

The Shower that Matt Built

We used to just have a tub and a wimpy little wall. Our bathroom was sad.

Then Matt came in and changed all that. All by himself. He put a sketch of L&L on his proudly built wall, and Luke signed his name. Then he added a sparkly fresh shower.

... and now the bathroom is happy.

Passion for Plumbing

Luke made this drawing today, titled: "How water gets from the main system into a house."

He scored an old faucet that we found in the garage. He took it apart to figure it out.

I sacrificed my favorite tupperware for his sink, but his smile made it totally worth it! The yellow sprayer and the drain actually worked.

Plumbing is his new passion. No joke: he wants a toilet for Christmas, or at least "the parts that make it flush."

Lance at the Park

Love these pics of Lance at the park and Luke helping him balance on the wall.

Front Yard

Here are some before and after pics of our front yard re-do. We had to tear out our old planter boxes. They were about a billion years old and they were falling apart. Thankfully Mom and Glen came up to help, because it turned out to be a way bigger job than we thought it would be. They literally moved a mountain of dirt out of those things. That was back in July, and today we finally put the rocks in. I think they look fine-- kind of wish we went darker, but definitely less maintenance than the bushes. By the way, Lance found the rock yard to be awesome, and he will be running that place one day. Tractors, dump trucks AND rocks of all shape, size and color. His idea of a glorious time!
