After the hike, we drove past Petco and noticed a sign that said, "Cat Adoptions Today." Of course we had to go in and check it out. There were so many precious little kitties and Luke (well, mostly me) really wanted to bring one home. Matt, who is in charge of all things poo-related at our house, said absolutely NOT. But, we had lots of fun looking and petting. We also got a new litter box idea, which could be life changing for Matt, and could also ensure Paco's future in our family for at least a few more years (sorry that the picture is sideways, but you get the gist). At Petco, this litter box cost $35...but we made our own in two minutes for about $7! OK, enough talk about litter boxes - sorry. Oh, and the cat biting Lance's finger was very friendly and just nibbling!

we are cat-hungry around here too. i was reading simon a book about a mouse family adopting a kitten and i almost just left the house right then to go get us our long-awaited cat. but before we do, we need an explanation about how the new litter box works!
