Tahoe Trip

Li'l Lance the BIG Preschool Boy

Lance had his first day of Li'l Folks today! He was so excited all morning and kept asking if it was time to go yet-- no alligator wrestling him into to car like some other kid I know! Luke and I stayed with him for about 20 minutes, then left. He cried when he saw us leaving, but only for a couple of minutes. From what I heard, he did really well and had a lot of fun. We brought some cookies and apple slices to celebrate his birthday, but his teachers told me he refused to wear the birthday crown or stand up when they sang to him. He said, "My birthday was on Sunday, August first, so I don't need to wear this today." Funny guy, considering he wore his birthday crown all day yesterday and forced me to say it was his birthday all day!

I'm hoping that Thursday will be just as smooth... please, please, please let it be!

THREE!

YIPPEE! Lance is 3! Finally, after waiting 26 days since Luke's birthday, the glittery crown is ALL HIS.

He loved all his presents... especially the little barriers and cones and whatnots that he uses to make a "construction site." He also likes the police helicopter, mostly because it came with some bad guys.

The darn train cake that looks like it was made by a preschooler actually took me the entire weekend to make. Huge waste of time considering it was stripped of its Smarties in two seconds flat!! Next time I'll just skip the charade and serve a mountain of candy.

Lance is such a cute little guy--- soooo sweet and funny with a tiny bit of naughty mixed in, but in a good way! Happy birthday Lancer!

Special Day

I took L&L to Scientopia last week, which is one of their favorite places. They were both out of school last week, which probably won't happen again until Thanksgiving, so we partied it up. There's a little hobby store that we pass by when we go to Scientopia. The front is painted like a red caboose, and Lance has wanted to go there forever. So, we went... and we spent. There was absolutely no way Lance was leaving that place without this model airplane-- no way. They were just destined to be together. Check out the look on the little stinker's face!

Guys Day Out

Matt took the boys to Discovery Kingdom on Saturday. They saw the whale show, spun like crazy on the balloon ride, and Lance went on the (kids) roller coaster for the first time..."because I'm old enough!"

Jeepers

So, I happened upon a garage sale and found this sweet Jeep. Since my kids barely have any toys, I felt I owed it to them to buy it. It's been fun so far... but probably not as much fun as the cardboard box that Luke turned into a sink. You know, 'cause all that off-roading makes for some dirty hands!
